April 12, 2025 TAHOE & TRUCKEE TRAIL REPORT
Its early bike season! Dirt Trails are emerging!
Fat Biking on the Sawtooth Trail

Fat Biking is perfect right now... but it won't last long! Ride anywhere, these 4.0 tires give you the freedom to explore. The serenity and peace you get from Fat biking in big open spaces is sublime! We recently had a visit from John Bartell of Bartell's Backroads. Our family of 5 had a great day showing him around the woods and enjoying a spring day on fat bikes.

Truckee River Legacy Trail

The Truckee River Legacy trail is free and clear of snow! This beautiful leisure ride is extra special when the Truckee river is flowing high with spring run off. Riding the legacy trail with your family and friends is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Truckee. Rent ebikes and breeze your way around Truckee!

Waddel Ranch Preserve
This area has generously been purchased protected and cared for by the Truckee Donner Land Trust. Spring has worked its magic on this area and it is ready to ride. Expect a few wet areas and some mud but getting dirty is part of the fun!

Martis Valley Trail and The Thomkins Memorial Trail:
The Tompkins Memorial Trail is a beautiful short and easy mountain bike and hiking trail in the heart of the Martis Valley. It is clear of snow, home to a large variety of birds, and the creeks are flowing beautifully. This trail is an easy ride from our bike shop
